Starting right in noted is the settlement Skate Park, settled Lakewood and Somerset Avenues. This 12, 500 square foot public skate park was designed by Purkiss Ross and features both street and tranny terrain. The park is open from 7am to dusk seven days a week. While skateboarders of any age are permitted to skate, all skaters must wear helmets and pads.

Just a few minutes northeast of noted in Norwalk on Firestone Boulevard is Golf N Stuff house fun park. Here both children and adults can enjoy skee-ball, arcade games, carnival style rides, kiddie train, little golf, go-karts, and bumper boats. A snack bar featuring pizza, nachos, hot dogs, snacks and soft drinks is also available.

Just a few minutes from Norwalk, even closer to noted in Downey is the Columbia Memorial Space Center. This is an incredibly fun, hands-on studying town where both children and adults can learn about space and how curious space exploration can be. The 20,000 square foot educational town features over 12 different exhibits each highlighting a different aspect of space exploration. The town is open Tuesday straight through Saturday from 10am to 5pm.

For more educational science fun, visit the California Science town just 15 miles northwest in Los Angeles. The 400,000 square foot instruction town was named the most beloved destination in Southern California by Forbes.com and includes some different exhibits, an Imax theater and an 188,000 gallon aquarium tank. The new Ecosystems exhibit features 400 different species of plants and animals. Best of all, admission to this museum is wholly free.

Of course no trip to the noted area with children would be faultless without visiting Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure Park, both in Anaheim - just 20 minutes southeast of Paramount. Be sure to check for current specials on 3, 4, 5 and 6 day park hopper passes. Children under three years old get free admission. Also in Anaheim is the LegoLand theme park which features rides specially designed for children ages two to twelve. The park also features tons of interactive Lego building activities and huge monuments and structure made wholly out of Legos. The Universal Studios theme park, settled just north of Los Angeles in Hollywood can also be a lot of fun for children of any age or those young at heart. Children under three are also free at Universal Studios.

Another theme park in the noted area is Knott's Berry Farm and Park, settled just twenty minutes east in Buena Park. Knott's Berry Farm encompasses160 acres and features 38 rides, that includes some roller coasters and a special section of rides designed just for small children. There is also a haunted house, a few water slides and a section that is dedicated to the Peanuts comic strip characters. If visiting near Halloween or Christmas, visiting Knott's is a great idea because they decorate the park for both holidays and put on special festive events.

A picnic in one of Paramount's many great city parks is a great way to spend an afternoon with children. Most of the city parks in noted feature large, safe playgrounds, picnic tables, pavilions and basketball courts. Some, like Ralph C. Dills Park, on San Juan street offer ponds, nature trails, practice stations and jogging paths. For more outdoor fun check out the El Dorado Nature town just 15 minutes south of noted in Long Beach. Here children can roam the 105 acres that includes a lake, forested area, nature trails and an island where the gift shop and instruction town can be found.

Another fun outdoor activity in the noted area is of course a day at the beach. There are lots of great beaches from Santa Monica down to Long Beach where you can picnic on the sand, surf, boogie board, or visit Santa Monica Pier to ride the vintage carousel built in the 1920s.
